They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

This ice forms every year. Not only is it a sign that we are loosing TONS of heat because there is practically no insulation, but it's incredibly dangerous. That door is one of the most frequently used doors in the station...and the ice formations in these pictures are relatively small in comparison to how big they sometimes get.
A short time ago we discovered that one of the urinals in the station had been draining into the wall for an unknown amount of time.
Why?
Because the pipes had simply corroded away and were falling apart.
On the 27th of November we had some boiler issues (and still have 'em) that resulted in a small flood. The feed to the boiler in the front of the building was being over pressurized and caused the pressure relief valve to activate, flooding the kitchen. We ended up with at least 3 inches of water throughout a good portion of the station. When all was said and done, we removed around 100 gallons of water. Luckily we were in the station at the time and were able to get it cleaned up, otherwise it would have been much worse.

THESE ARE ONLY SOME OF THE MORE CURRENT PROBLEMS
It simply wouldn't be practicle to list all of the problems we have.
