Stowe Rescue Puts First Response Vehicle In Service - Stowe's new Advanced Life Support first response vehicle, or "ALS-1",  was put into service in March of this 2007. The vehicles purpose is to provide a quicker response time to medical emergencies for advanced level EMT's and paramedics. On board is much of the same equipment and medical supplies which the town's two ambulances carry, inluding a cardiac monitor/defibrillator, oxygen and advanced airway equipment, and medications. Funding for the vehicle was paid in part through donations raised through the Stowe Rescue Squad volunteer organization. A special thanks to the Stowe Police Department and our friends down at Action Ambulance Service from Massachusetts for their help in putting this project together.
